The DLT Ledgers Kovalam Marathon 2023, which took place in Thiruvananthapuram, was dedicated to promoting marine conservation and advocating healthy lifestyles among its participants. The marathon was flagged off at the scenic Kovalam Grove Beach by Group Captain Saurabh Shiva, Station Commander of Air Force Thiruvananthapuram, with distinguished guests including M. Vincent MLA, Nagaraju Chakilam IPS – City Police Commissioner, and Shyam Sundar, Intelligence IG, in attendance.
The marathon featured over 1,200 participants across various categories including the Full Marathon (42.2 km), Half Marathon (21.1 km), 10K Run (10 km), Fun Run (5 km), and Corporate Relay (5 km). All participants were acknowledged with medals and race t-shirts, regardless of their finishing position. Noteworthy was the marathon’s adherence to international standards, utilizing RFID technology chips embedded in bibs to precisely track runners’ finishing times.
